Pigeons and prediction markets?
We noticed a wave of bird videos trending across social media, with creators adding human voiceovers to turn them into funny, relatable stories. Inspired by the format, we began exploring how AI could elevate the concept in more realistic and comedic ways and how to leverage the concept for clients. Our motion designer kicked off the process by building a storyboard using AI-generated imagery to map out key moments from the script. From there, the team used AI tools to animate the stills, layer in voiceover, and seamlessly integrate product imagery into the narrative.
Lifestyle AI comes to life
Every detail, from lighting to composition, was built to showcase the Fanatics Markets product in its best light, while imagining the conversation two pigeons would have about picking a team to back for the NBA Playoffs. The final result is a sleek, high-impact social ad that feels immersive and distinctly Fanatics Markets.
Prediction markets are a category that can feel intimidating to a casual scroller. The product takes a beat to explain, and most performance creative leads with that explanation, which is exactly where attention drops off. Pigeons gave us a way in. By anchoring the creative in a format people were already stopping for, we earned the few seconds we needed before introducing the product. The humour carried retention, and the prediction market angle landed as a payoff rather than a pitch.
