Sober activities driving Togetherness
NewForm is a platform that builds community for people on a sober journey — whether they're just starting out, deep in recovery, or somewhere in between. It's a place to find others in the same phase of life, share milestones, and connect with people who actually understand what the journey looks like.
The hardest thing about post-COVID life is meeting new people. Finding people who get what you're going through? Even harder. That's why NewForm hosts in-person events across cities, so members can show up, meet new faces, and bond over a shared commitment to sobriety. But meeting someone once isn't the same as keeping them in your life — which is where NewForm's new Friending feature comes in. After an event, you can find the people you connected with (over a failed knitting attempt, a rollerblading wipeout, or whatever wonderfully chaotic activity brought you together) and stay in touch.
We visualized Friending as the feeling of togetherness at the end of an activity — sitting on the floor, exhausted and laughing after a sober adventure, surrounded by people you'd actually want to invite to the next one. That's the moment Friending is built for: turning shared experiences into ongoing friendships.
