Avant’s Credit Card is designed for the near-prime market, an audience frequently underserved and overlooked by traditional credit messaging. In a category dominated by predictable lifestyle imagery and safe visual cues, we set out to build a "wildcard" concept designed to disrupt the feed and command attention.

The Concept

The core idea was simple: building your credit shouldn't feel like a rollercoaster. We brought this financial tension to life through a bold, metaphorical visual. It communicates the visceral feeling of financial instability at a glance, before anchoring the user with a hero product shot and a clear, steadying resolution: "When your credit feels steadier, life does too."

Our Process

A rollercoaster is an inherently busy visual, so the main creative challenge was ensuring the ad still functioned perfectly as a performance asset. We focused closely on depth of field, atmospheric lighting, and layout to keep the Avant card the undisputed focal point. By prioritising clean typography and building out multiple variations, we created a flexible system where the background grabs attention, but the offer remains clear.

The Result

The creative leap paid off. At the time of writing, these wildcard concepts are our top-performing assets on Meta, consistently beating out traditional, "safe" credit-style ads. It shows that even in conventional categories, stepping away from the expected and leaning into a distinct, straightforward visual can drive real performance.
